Two brothers are being brought up by their Stepfather and Uncle, who are both wanted terrorists in hiding. Zahid, the oldest, is a strict Muslim, while his younger brother Javid has rejected Islam. There is turmoil between Javed and his stepfather Hussin because of Javed’s lack of faith. Javed’s actions become a crisis at Mecca during the Hajj, and Javed, only fourteen years old, is severely punished. Hussin, his stepfather, disowns him.
His uncle Qusai lives in Tehran, Iran, and invites Javed to come and live with him. Javed becomes fascinated with women and pursues a prostitute. He can’t control his sexual behavior.
Years later, after attending Iranian universities, he graduated with a Ph.D. in nuclear physics and is employed at CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research. There he meets a woman, Arielle, who has the same uncontrollable behavior as Javed.
They become lovers and leave CERN to form their own company. But drugs become a significant part of their lives and to the demise of Arielle. Eventually, Javed is driven into a heinous existence that almost destroys him. Recovering, he makes peace with his stepfather and is reunited with his brother, Zahid, who also has a Ph.D. in nuclear physics.
Both are recruited by the Iranian government to destroy the ITER, an international nuclear fusion research facility in Saint-Paul-lez-Durance, France, which will threaten Iran’s oil exporting revenue.
They are now poised to carry out the mission, but the consequences of their actions will have worldwide repercussions.
